Fuel door on 30 Lincoln LS stuck?

I just had my car fixed. I had to have a door replaced and they had to fix the inside where the door was jammed in. I just got it back today and needed to get gas. I hit the button to open the fuel door. It feels like its open but the actual fuel door wont open. Is there another way to open it?

  1. Look in the manual. There is usually a loop of wire you can pull from inside the trunk just for this purpose. If you look in the trunk carefully near the fuel door, you may just be able to see it. It's usually tagged. It may still work unless they really screwed it up at the body shop.

  2. Theres  a cord in the trunk right behind the fuel door. Just pull on it.
