Fuel mix for a 7.5 Mercury outboard 1980 - Anyone know?

Made a mistake, its a 1973 according to the serial number...

BradCad beat me. Yep, 50 to one is 90% of 2 stroke mixtures. Happy boating. Change your lower in Lub every couple years.

Both answers above are totally correct.

In fact I have a mechanic friend with a shop, he says he sends everythign he works on out the door with a top quality oil mix of 50:1 and never has any returns.

Most older motors called for a much richer mix but oil technology was not as advanced.
