will my 1992 CBR600 starve of fuel if i use a gravity fed fuel petcock from another honda instead of the original vaccum petcock? My bike is not originally equipt with a fuel pump. The price difference between a new stock and a gravity fed model is about an $86.00 difference.

  1. Just make sure the bore of the new petcock is the same or larger than the old one. That's what might

    restrict the flow.

That 'vacuum' petcock is a fuel shut-off device.

You WILL have to remember to shut the fuel down

when you shut down, and turn it on when you start.

Just like we used to before those  *&%$^%$

expensive and troublesome vacuum units came along.

  2. No, it will be fine, but you'll have to block off the vacuum line.

  3. If you don't have a fuel pump and fuel injection, you can use a gravity fed petcock, it's the constant velocity carbs that pull the fuel in, just remember to always shut the petcock off.
