Fuel prices in France?

all i know that one it is in euros and two that the euro is very crappy right now

7$ a Gal. Reg

8.30$  a Gal for Super

6.59$ a Gal  for Diesel

1.60 euro a liter this is around 10$ a gallon ...you see? here we have lots more to complain about...

Sans plomb : 1,49 euros

price from the gas station I saw this morning, going to work...

i don't know how much is a euro in dollars though...

Over a euro fifty.  Was there last month, but since I did not drive did not look.

If you're visiting, just take the metro (if staying outside of Paris) it's cheaper.

It depends on the region. In the south of France it is between 1.50 € and 1.60 €/liter for unleaded super whereas in and around Paris it is 10 cents cheaper. Overall it is about the same as in the UK.

The cheapest fuel is sold at the supermarkets or hypermarkets (Carrefour, Auchan, Leclerc, Champion, Super U, Intermarché) so look for these signs when you are on the road.

Prices go up during summer holidays too and then usually go down again (although now who knows if it will go down anytime soon?).

today in Château-Salins, near Metz. (east of France) :

A liter of Gazoil: 1,44 euros

A liter of Essence: 1,56 euros

It's really expensive.

Rita, I don't know where you work but I'm coming over!

In Paris we have reached 1.64 Euro a liter for the most expensive.

1 US gallon = 3.78541178 liter = 6.21 Euros = 9.875 USD

In June, it cost us about 16 euro for a quarter tank of gazole (diesel) in our little Renault car.  A piece of advice - take public transportation.
