Fuel pump in 95 dodge dakota.. asked before?

asked before~~~~((((guy before me had to replace it once, i bought it fuel pump went out. just got a used one like 2 days ago.. worked good and now its out again. what could possibly be the problem? could it be wires or just bad luck?)))~~~ok well it started working again..the fuel pumps aren't going out. what does that mean? if i hit the top of the tank it will work but if i shut it off it won't start again unless i hit it.

your connections may be dirty

you got a bad ground on the tank it has to be grounded real good,check that and where the wires connect together at,i have put two of those in today,its been fuel pump day for me all day long,one ina Dakota and one in a ram ,you need to go over the wires real good,i don't think your burning pumps out that fast,good luck.
