Fuel pump?1996 Chevy Tahoe.Could it be?

We have a 96 chevy tahoe. My husband has to put fuel in the throttle body to get it to start then it will run allday long. But it will not crank on its own it will turn over just not start. Its driving him crazy! He has replaced the filter, fuel meter body, press. reg, all fuel inject. Still no luck .He can hear the fuel pump running when you turn it over . He has tried to bleed air out of line incase there was any. Dont know what to do.

sounds like its losing pressure. tell him to have the gas cap checked.

sounds like he is a bad guesser, take it to someone qualified to diagnosis the problem. may have low fuel pressure or a bad check valve in the fuel pump so fuel pressure bleeds down
