  1. It's absolutely impossible to answer your question sensibly, without knowing WHICH bike you are referring to.

The wide range of 1,000cc bikes on the market have a wide range of average fuel consumption, the same as cars do.

Please specify the bike you are talking about.

  2. 40-60 mpg is usually the range for most bikes,

you can do the conversions from there

  3. For your scenario, you'd do about 85 miles.

  4. An efficient petrol engine will return 1HP hour, per 1/4 pint of petrol, so you can only work with known parameters

  5. My 650cc 90 degree V (V2C 650S UM)

    at 60 MPH

3.4 gallons of fuel in 210 miles

    At 65MPH

3.5 gallons of fuel in 195 miles

    +/- 5%

  6. It's not nearly as simple as everyone wants to make it, but suffice it to say you should get 40-50mpg on a 1000CC bike.

Each bike is different, the gear ratios in the trans, final, fairing, windshield, twin, triple, 4cyl, carb settings, injection vs carb, exhaust.etc all have influences. My 87 1100 cruiser gets 50, but so does my 79 650 cruiser. My fathers 861340CC cruiser gets almost 40, many 4cyl bikes will get a little better, but it really depends (the tune and power output of the engines makes a difference too).

  7. You would need to be a bit more specific than that. What type of engine, Twin or Four? What gear, you can go 60 in first or 6th.

I average about 37-41 mpg on my litrebike, CBR 1000 RR, 2006, that is when I am just putzing along, if I am riding through some turns, that will drop to about 25 mpg.
