Fuerteventura or Lanzarote?

Question

I'm booking a holiday this weekend and i don't know where to go? it's a choice between these two islands.

Has anyone been to either of the islands, or both?

Both of them are lovely! hot weather all year round and u cant go wrong with any of the canary islands!

just go for the cheapest one u see!x

I WENT TO PLAYA BLANCA LANZEROTE. BRILLIANT IF YOU WANT NO NOISE AND JUST PURE CHILL OUT.

FUERTEVENTURA IS A BIT MORE LIVELY IF YOU WANT TO PARTY.

Lanzarote is great with brilliant nightlife and probably the most beautiful of the canary islands.  I've been and will definitely go again.

But you will have a great time at either island, so I would go with the cheapest!  I would suggest spending a little more on accomodation though, as spanish standards are lower than england and other parts of europe.  So 3 stars is more like 2 stars.

I have been to Fuerteventura many times, have a holiday home out there.. i enjoy going out there to chill out with my family and get away from all the stress of "life", eat lots of food (theres good resturants there) and the sunshine is fantastic, BUT its not good for times when you want a holiday full of action and sights (as it is a volcanic island after all!...but then so is lanzarote).

There was a shipwrecked cruiseliner on the island which was AMAZING but i think that might have gone now..

i would definatly recommend going to the zoo (its the best one i've ever been to, everyone loved it...seriously its really nice!) beaches are popular for wind surfing. They also have a big shopping mall in the capital which is brilliant. there is a water park and go karting.

Make sure you get a NICE villa with a nice pool for relaxing around :-)

but be adventurous and find all the hidden nice places, its not always obvious...

its a developing island and its changing and improving every year.
