Fuji Finepix S1000fd?

Question

I am an aspiring photographer and do not have the money to buy an SLR right now. I am considering getting this camera and want to know how good it does with professional and non-professional photography.

i have the fuji film finepix 700s and i love it. its definitely a decent camera to learn the basics with being professional. it has tons of settings and auto. it also has a video cam to record too. i got it as a mothers day gift at walmart and i still have plenty more to read and learn in the manuel as far as becoming a better photographer.

It's fine, if you want a cheap superzoom camera. I've read a review of it and it came out quite good. It seems to be a better alternative to the Fujifilm S700, with less CA, surprisingly less noise at higher ISO settings and more useful zoom range. It has also P S A M modes so you can learn a bit.
