  1. Deleting images from your card using the cameras delete button is NOT recommended .. it can lead to corruption of your images.  You may have deleted all your images accidently.

You can buy an image recovery program and try to "save" what is on your card (do NOT use it until you attempt a recovery, or you will be overwriting what could be saved by the program).  Lexar and San Disk make such programs that can be downloaded .. about $30.

In the future, when you fill your card, the best strategy is to have a second card available to use for continuing your shoot.  You should also be copying all your images to your computer at the end of each days shooting and format the card using the format feature on your camera after you know all the images are safely on your computer.

  2. Try to FORMAT your card. Go to Menu Mode, look for Format - check your manual. By just deleting images, you don't completely clear out the card. By Formating it, you clean it up completely. Else, there's something wrong with your card. Have a camera store, if you can get to one, check your card.
