Fujitsu laptop, touchpad stops working when...

Hi,

My fujitsu t4010 laptop's touchpad stops working when it is connected to power supply. I checked on the laptop says power should be 19v 3.16a but my power adapter is 19v 4.5a, can that be the reason or a power leak somewhere on the laptop effecting the touchpad?
