i'm an architecture student. however, i really want to obtain a fulbright to pursue my dream to further painting. how would i do this though? as i have not created a lot of works aside from drafting and modeling my architecture classes? does fulbright need a portfolio for those wishing to study in the works of painting? how does this work? how are you to write up your time line when painting is a very subjective process? it seems like there are a lot of rules and regulations and standards to applying. especially under the field of fine arts. i mean, how can one determine how their paintings can furhter culture in the area you are studying when you are really from somewhere else? it is only you furthering your own study in a new environment which others can observe and take from, not you yourself giving it directly to the surrounding area. you know what i mean?

any clarifications would be great.

peace,
