Tottenham travelled to Craven Cottage this past Saturday to face Fulham. Having won two successive Premier League games, Andre Villas-Boas’ men were in search for a hat-trick of victories and they got their prize, cruising to a comfortable 0-3 victory over
the Cottagers.
The first half ended in a stalemate but Spurs broke the deadlock when Sandro fired home a long range effort. This was the Brazilian’s first goal for the club in over 18 months, and what a fine strike it was
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jermain-Defoe-c18359 then extended the visitor’s lead by scoring two goals which rounded up the 3 points for Andre Villas-Boas’ team and earned them their third successive win in the league.
The result puts Spurs at 4th place, tied with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043 on the weekend.

The Frenchman had little to do all evening and had to make only one save to deny Petric. Fulham hardly had a shot at goal, which resulted in a comfortable shift in front of goal for Lloris.

The Belgian was unable to venture forward as much as he would’ve liked, but had a comfortable night. He contained Dejagah well, but struggled to cope with a lively Damien Duff.

The youngster was given the task to mark Frei, and handled the task well. Riise however caused him a lot of problems with his overlapping runs which led to several nervy moments.

The player hardly had anytime to settle into the game and was forced off the pitch with a hamstring injury in the first 20 minutes.
Steven Caulker – 8
The young defender had a good game, putting in a calm and composed performance at the back. He has formed a solid partnership with both Gallas and Dawson, and is a bright prospect for Tottenham.
Clint Dempsey – 9
The American had an astounding game on his return to his former club. The jeers from the home crowd only spurred him as he shone in the central attacking role. He linked up well with the other Spurs midfielders and his passing was excellent. He got an assist
for Tottenham’s third goal.

The English winger had a quiet game by his standards and hardly had an impact. He was unable to make use of his pace and trickery, and was barely visible as Spurs cruised to victory.

The Welshman was booked for diving and did not have a very influential game. He was taken off in the second half after he picked up a hamstring injury and was replaced by Sigurdsson.
Moussa Dembele – 9
The former Fulham man offered his usual calmness and grace in midfield, and kept the ball well for Tottenham. His passing and interplay was excellent, though he was unable to attack that much.
Sandro – 8
The Brazilian had a solid game, and scored Tottenham’s first goal through a speculative long-range effort. Mark Schwarzer could have saved it, but the ball went in, much to the player’s surprise.
Jermain Defoe – 9
The striker had another solid game. Though he was largely quiet in the first half, he found his shooting boots in the second as he bagged a brace. Defoe is currently the club’s top scorer, and continues to display his clinical shooting ability.
