However, several hundred miles away, the striker is getting keen glances from a London-based club in Fulham FC.
Reports in French media suggest that the Frenchman is being followed by the Cottagers who have already sent a representative to Rhone in order to negotiate terms of loan for the remainder of the season.
The Frenchman was on the verge of signing with Fulham FC in the summer transfer window. However, at the last moment, the forward was called back by his parent club as Les Phoceens had failed to find a replacement for Gignac.
Despite this, Fulham have once again reinvigorated their interest in the player and are reportedly getting back to work in order to secure a move for the player for the remainder of the Premier League campaign.
Reports claim that a meeting between the club management and the representative of Fulham could be held tonight in order to discuss in detail the financial outlines of the loan move. It has been suggested that the Cottagers would sign the player on a six-month
loan deal with an option of buying him for 7 million Euros – an amount that could increase by 3 million Euros if the performance requirements are met.
