Reports from Sittard confirm that Fortuna Sittard have successfully acquired the services of Danny Hoesen on loan from Fulham FC. The 20-year-old has returned to his parent club on loan after spending two years at Craven Cottage.
The talented youngster started his professional career at Trendwork Arena in the summer of 2008. After spending the entire 2008/09 season with his parent club, the youngster made his move to the Whites in the summer of 2009. However, the young ace is yet
to make his debut at Craven Cottage as he was loaned to HJK Helsinki to further develop his skills.
The striker made 11 appearances for HJK and netted twice in the 2010/11 campaign before a serious hip injury ruled him out for the remainder of the season.
The Cottagers manager, Martin Jol, believes that the 20-year-old has still a lot to learn and has reportedly sent the 20-year-old to Dutch Eerste Divisie outfit on a season-long deal.
On the other hand, after finishing 16th in the league table in the season ended, the outfit from Sittard have set their sights on achieving better results in the upcoming 2011/12 campaign. For this very reason, they have remained active in the
ongoing summer transfer market, reinforcing their ranks.
The Fortuna have so far successfully added Wouter Scheelen, Timothy Dreesen and Kevin Diaz to their ranks. With the acquisition of Hoesen on loan for the entire 2011/12 campaign, the Fortuna have certainly enhanced their chances of a better finish in the
upcoming season.
The 20-year-old’s current contract with the Cottagers runs until the summer of 2013. However, reports suggest that should the youngster perform highly in the upcoming season for the Dutch second tier outfit, the Whites would prolong his stay at Craven Cottage
until the summer of 2015.
