The Bulgarian has sealed his arrival at Craven Cottage and is in contention to start against West Ham this weekend.
Dimitar Berbatov’s long-standing transfer saga at Manchester United has finally drawn to a close, with the gifted attacker making a switch across http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 to London.
Fulham’s acquisition came as a shock, as the former Bayer Leverkusen man was reportedly set for a stint in the Serie A with Fiorentina, before Juventus approached him and his representatives with a lucrative deal.
However, talks with the Bianconeri broke down and eventually the forward settled for the Cottagers, with Martin Jol’s presence at the helm playing an influential role in his decision.
The Dutchman worked with the front-man at Tottenham and looks set to continue the prosperous partnership, as the Whites look to secure a European place.
Berbatov’s arrival could go a long way in doing that, especially considering the 31-year-old’s experience at the highest level.
Manager Jol was ecstatically pleased with the signing and piled praise on his ex-protégé.

Fulham were once considered to be a force in Europe and even reached the final of the Europa League. However, with the departure of Roy Hodgson, they have struggled to secure a top position in the Premiership, although their recent performances suggest that
better days are on their way.
Jol has a decent squad this time around and with proven managerial skills under his belt, this could be the season which witnesses the rise of the Londoners.
