Fulham go for Beattie

Fulham are set to bid for Stoke City forward James Beattie. The former Southampton and Everton forward has been frozen out of boss Tony Pulis’ plans ever since a heated pre-Christmas row in the changing rooms at the Emirates Stadium. Fulham are likely to only want to sign the striker on loan though, with Stoke holding out for a permanent deal.
