Fulham manager Mark Hughes claims he did his best at Manchester City

The former Manchester City coach, Mark Hughes has announced that he performed a paramount job during his rule at the Eastlands and nobody could match up to the performance he gave.
The present Fulham manger expressed his regret over the club not recognizing his efforts he put in during his time with the Light Blues. Talking to media the 46 year old manger who has also managed at Wales and Blackburn Rovers stated that in his 18 months he spent at the club he presented the team and the club with his utmost dedication and if nobody accepted that fact it was their fault.
Now Hughes has another chance to prove himself as a manager after being canned last year in December, he has been hired by Europa League finalists last season, Fulham. They under the smart leadership of now Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson went on a unprecedented campaign. The legendary player has told however that despite his departure from the club he will hold no personal grudges against the club.
He stated that had the ultra rich owners of Manchester City handed him the chance of acquiring glory fir the club, he would have delivered. He instigated that had the new Arabian owner was spending a lot of money and on players. If he were given that kind of leash then he would have also signed in good players and planned and toured around with the funds he had.
The current owner of Manchester City, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been spending his money openly for the Eastlands and their Italian manager, Roberto Mancini has been taking full advantage of that. He has the most highly paid in English Premier League playing for them. They have spent over 80 million pounds and are planning to spend more.
Durinh Hughes period at the Manchester City the club had ownership problems too when the club changed from the Thaksin Shinawatra rule to the Abu Dhabi United group. What happened over night was that the club had gone from a virtually nonexistent budget to one of the top in the world.
Just before Christmas Hughes was fired after he just won the 2 out of 11 games even though they were in range of the at the Top 4 in the English Premier League.
On his unveiling ceremony at Fulham, when he was crowned as the new manager the he said, “I was disappointed because I felt I was doing a good job, given the circumstances that I found at the club and all the changes that we had to accommodate in my tenure there”.
He reckoned, “I think no-one else could have done as good a job as I did, given the circumstances. I felt we were fully on track with the expectations of the owners. Unfortunately, maybe their mindset changed, and I wasn't part of their plans”.
The removal of Hughes from Manchester City was a dirty and back stabbing affair on the whole. The news of his sacking in fact actually came out before the Sunderland match which he won in 4-3 thriller. There was a  lot of throw after that and a very ugly picture was painted by media on the whole.
Asked if he would be prepared to shake City chief executive Garry Cook or owner Sheikh Mansour's hand when the clubs meet this season, he said: ''It wasn't about personality, from my point of view.
Advocating his period he stated, “I had an opportunity and I felt I was fulfilling the role that I was asked. In the end, that opportunity was taken away from me and there was frustration because of that. But I don't think the emotion of being bitter or frustrated by that was a good emotion. I wouldn't be myself if I allowed that emotion to be within me.
He collaborated that though he wanted it to be established that there were no regrets left in him moving from the club as he had moved on, he did want it to be known that he was never hung up, “I've moved on, City have moved on, and I'm looking forward to a great season at Fulham Football Club. Sometimes relationships break down and that can have an effect on your position at the football club. I've come here, I feel very comfortable with the people I'm working with. Maybe one of the key elements to it is that I'm actually their man”.
He added, “Maybe that was one of the big things that went against me at City. I have no embarrassment whatsoever in terms of the job that I did at Man City. If you ask people there, people who are still there, they would agree with that situation. I would back my performance in terms of what I achieved there against anybody's ability to get the same amount out of those players”.
