Hughes wants Menezes
The agent of Benfica midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Felipe-Menezes-c13536, has revealed that the Fulham manager, Mark Hughes, wants to sign his client on a one-year loan with an option to buy.
Menezes has set his sights on a move away from Estadio Da Luz in the summer transfer window after falling down in the pecking order for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jorge-c19120 Jesus’ side. Hughes is looking to make wholesale changes to his squad after a less than impressive 2010/11 campaign.
The former Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 manager last week revealed that he has identified his transfer targets and will look to finalise the deal for them before the entire squad returns from holidays. Now that the club have also qualified for the 2011/12 UEFA Europa
League on Fair Play allocation, the 2009/10 competition’s runners-up will definitely strengthen their squad.
The agent of the Brazilian revealed that his client is open to a move to English Premier League and they will consider Fulham’s offer.
The agent said, “Fulham want Felipe and there's a possibility the move could happen. Felipe wants regular football and the Premier League is a big option. Fulham are an interested club which I've learned already. Let's see.”
The midfielder made only 15 appearances for Benfica this season and scored one goal.
Witsel eyeing Arsenal move
Standard Liege midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Axel-Witsel-c7029’s father has revealed that his son wants to join Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
Witsel has been in great run of form this season and played a pivotal role in guiding his club to finish second in the league. The Belgian international scored 10 goals in 34 appearances this season and also won the Player of the season award.
The 22-year-old has attracted interest from a host of European clubs including A.C Milan and Fiorentina, but the starlet would prefer a move to Arsene Wenger’s team.
The player’s father said, "I personally hope that this was his last season with Standard as he needs to grow and to do it he needs to leave the country. He doesn't have a specific target but he has a dream and it's called http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, but this doesn't mean that
he's not open to other clubs."
Arsenal will definitely consider the interest from the midfielder and he might prove to be an ideal replacement for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 bound Cesc Fabregas.
