The skipper of Fulham FC, Danny Murphy has just inked a contract which will extend his stay with Cottagers till the summers of 2012.
News from London has confirmed of the Cottager committing to an extension deal in his current contract, which will see him play for the English Premier League in the next season.
Murphy came to Craven Cottage from White Hart Lane in 2007. His form was in a slump with the North London club, but his move to West London reignited the flame in his career. Now the player will be staying loyal to the Badgers till the end of 2011-12 season.
The former Charlton Athletic central midfielder has been the keystone of success for his team in the past. Not only did he score the stunner, that kept Fulham in Premier League contest during 2008, but he was a crucial part of team as Fulham went to the
finals of the Europa League.
Under the management of Roy Hodgson, Cottagers went ahead to the finals of Europa League last season, only to be defeated by Atletico Madrid. In the Premier League, they made a comeback and finished 12th.

While talking to media the former Liverpool player, Murphy stated, “I'm delighted to have signed a contract extension.”
"As a club we've achieved great things during my time at Fulham so far, not least our highest-ever league finish and reaching the Europa League final, and it is a great source of pride for me, as club captain, to have played a role in some truly historic
moments for Fulham Football Club.
"We've made great progress, on and off the pitch over the past few years, and with the chairman's continued support, I believe we've got many more great years ahead of us."
Murphy who enjoyed a lustrous career with Reds from 1997 to 2004 is happy with his stay at Craven Cottage. The 33-year-old seemingly wants to play on for the London club but only time will tell how long that can be for.
