things.
After thanking Fulham for all that the club had done for him, Dempsey got straight to the point when he said, “the fact remains that I want to play in the Champions League. I want to play at the highest level possible.”
The statement may have angered some sections of the Fulham fans yet few can deny the loyalty, commitment and dedication that the player has demonstrated over the past few seasons for the club.
He said, “I want to do as much as I can in my career and look back and say the most of all the opportunities I have had.” Before continuing, “I am always going to want to play in (the) Champions League. It is something that I have never done. I would like
to test myself at that level.”
Dempsey explained that if he wanted a comfortable life and not take risks in his career decisions he would have stayed in the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/United-States-c3034 and continued playing for his Major League Soccer club. Instead he made the move to Fulham where he has established
himself as a top player and now wants to take the next step.
He added, “I am a risk-taker. I want to throw myself in the deep end and see if I can swim.”
Jurgen Klinsmann, the manager of the USA national side, has also urged Dempsey to make the move to another club, claiming that it would help him develop further as a player and that Klinsmann believes that Dempsey has what it takes to cut it with the best
players in Europe.
Whether or not Fulham have anything to say on the matter remains to be seen though it seems more than likely that Dempsey will be playing in another club come the end of the summer transfer window.
