Hans Soentjes, the VVV general director, has now confirmed that his side will set their sights elsewhere.
“We are now moving our interest towards another striker. Last Friday we made our final bid and Fulham have said it is too low”, Soentjes was quoted as saying to De Telegraaf.
Meanwhile, the former Dutch U-17 star admitted that he was looking forward to join Venlose Trots this summer while revealing that the Cottagers are keen to offer him a new contract.
“I was keen on a move to VVV Venlo. Now I have to wait and see where my future will be. Fulham are interested in extending my contract”, Hoesen said while talking to journalists.
The promising youngster has a contract at Craven Cottage that is due to expire at the end of the 2012/13 campaign, but reports indicate that the Cottagers would be offering him a new deal that will prolong his stay for at least
another three seasons.
