Fulham FC manager, Martin Jol, has mooted all speculations linking him with a move for ADO Den Haag’s Wesley Verhoek and Lex Immers in the ongoing summer transfer market. The Dutch duo has been linked with a host of European clubs and it seems unlikely that
the duo would be pursuing their career at Kyocera Stadion in the new season.
Earlier reports suggested that the Cottagers have tabled a bid of 2.5 million Euros for Verhoek while they are keen to bring Immers on loan for the 2011/12 campaign. However, Jol has now denied and revealed that there is no truth in these rumours.
“As everybody knows I'm from Den Haag and so are they. Everybody is making an assumption but there's no truth in it”, Jol said while talking to the media.
Verhoek, who can play on both sides as a winger, performed exceptionally in the season ended. He scored seven goals in 32 matches, but made headlines for his supreme playmaking skills throughout the season. The 24-year-old provided 14 assists and became
the Eredivisie top assists provider in the 2010/11 campaign.
