  1. full suspension with a rear suspension lockout. so you would enjoy both worlds

  2. Hi,

Used To Ride Hardtail Until Got Stolen But I Now Ride A Full Sus Freeride Bike I Would Never Go Back I Would'nt Suggest A Freeride For What You Saying You Want It For Maybe If You Looking To Impove It Could Be A Good Idea Its Not To Bad I Travel To Work On Mine Every Day Think You Get Used To It And The More Money You Spend The Better Plus Fun And Less Money Spend On Maintaining It

    Happy Choosing

  3. You will get more bike in a Hard Tail... meaning the components will be better and the overall quality will be higher.

Decent FS bikes start around 1500 and work upwards.

For the riding you do, a HT is fine!  I ride a hardtail trek and can zip up climbs, have fun on smaller drops and catch air.  I don't get the cushy feeling down hill that FS riders have, but I am fine with that.

Which ever you decide, make sure you can lock out the suspension for when you have it on the road.  Riding any suspension on the road is wasted energy.
