Question:

Full Tilt Poker question...?

I don't get the new money set up with Full Tilt. I just installed it last night and was wondering if someone could explain what the Tournament Dollars do and how you get them. Also, I've never really known what the Satellite Tokens are for because I've never seen any games for $26 or $75 in the satellite section, so if you could tell me what those are for that would be cool too. Thanks.

  1. gnr has it right on, but just to clarify; if you cash a "cash tourney",  you get cash. You don't get tourney dollars (so llaffer is wrong). Basically, before they had tourney dollars, if you won a seat to another event (say, the $750K on Sunday), you had to play it. Now, if you can't play it for some reason, you can unregister and have $215 in tourney dollars instead. You can either convert that to cash for a 5% fee, or just use them on other tourneys.

Now if you use those tourney dollars in a different tourney/SNG, and you cash, you then get cash back instead of those tourney dollars.

  2. You get tournament dollars when you UNREGISTER from a tournament that you played a satellite to enter.  So, let's say you entered a $10 MTT Satellite and won a seat into a $100 tournament.  You could then unregister from that tournament, and they would pay you the $100 in tournament dollars.  You can then use that money for any tournament or SNG you wanted.  No tournament pays you in tournament dollars, so even when you enter a tournament with tourney dollars, you still get paid in regular cash.  The only way to obtain tourney dollars is to unregister from a tournament that you won a satellite to get into (I also think you can transfer tourney dollars from player to player, but I haven't tried).

If you decide that you didn't want to use your tourney dollars for tournaments, you can convert them to real cash for a 5% fee.

Tokens are something you can win to use to enter any tournament with that size buy-in (24+2 for a $26 token and 69+5 for a $75 token).  They do not only have to be used for satellites (though they are a great tool to use to enter satellites!).  Tokens can not be cashed out or converted to regular cash.

    Goodluck!

  3. My guess, is if you win money in a cash tourney, you'll get the funds as Tourney Dollars instead of normal Dollars (that way they can charge you 5% to have them converted into normal Dollars if you want to withdrawl it.)

So if you enter future tourneys, you should use any funds there first, since they're fee-free.

    The $26 and $75 tokens are used to enter any $24 + $2 or $69 + $6 tourney.
