I am 22 I am doing good in school but since I work full-time my Financial Aid has been denied. We grew up poor/broke in my family. My pops is deceased and my mother has had a reoccuring illness. The only person in my family who can help lighten my burden is my Uncle but he will not co-sign on a car or a school loan for me. I have tried getting loans and have been denied, I have to pay a lot for my car and I have been getting really frustrated b/c no 1 will try 2 help me although my older cousin and older bro both got new cars that someone co-signed for that didn't cost an arm and a leg. I am from the hood and I know how to survive in that lifestyle but I choose to go to school and work. it is getting so hard i have considered goin back to my old ways or just dropping out and working 2 jobs this semester. Any Advice???

  1. Hi

I saw your question I have decided to help people out due to the fact that I myself has been scammed twice by fake lenders in my search for a loan but at last I got a reliable lender that gave me the loan($60,000 USD) that I was in dire need of even with a bad credit. Hence I decided that I will refer anybody I come across to this God sent lender he is reliable and his terms are fair. You can get to him via his email address charles_lenders@yahoo.com Please tell him that Deborah Kirk he gave out a loan to me . I have search for a legit lender until I got him and I decided to help my fellow humans with this because there are a lot of fake lenders out there and I do not want any body to fall a prey please get to him and tell him that I referred you to him.

    Thanks.

    Deborah Kirk

  2. I know exactly what you mean! I have to do the same thing. I finally just quit taking 5 classes a semester and dropped it down to 2 classes a semester. I also take them online (if I can) and work a second job at night. It gets rough sometimes, but you have to do what you have to do. Taking two classes also lightens the cost ALOT. I can usually save enough money during the summer or fall semester to pay for the next one.

You might also try trading in the vehicle you are driving for something cheaper. You can get a good used vehicle for $4000. It may be a little older (like a 01 or 02), but you will have it paid off more quickly and when you get out of school you could go buy something more expensive and nicer.

Whatever you do, don't quit school. It's getting to where you need a college degree to make enough money to live. Wouldn't you rather struggle for a few years now than the rest of your life?

  3. Did you apply for FAFSA (government aid)? It is based on yours and your parents' financial situation. Talk to your school about the situation, they should be able to offer a solution.

  4. I am 27 and a student.  I have to take a student loan out for college.  I worked full-time for four years and saved every dime I could, so I can quite my job and go to school.  I have a new truck that no one helps me pay for and have enough money to make it through school.  I will get a p/t job to pay for gas, food, going out,etc..  I know I am late getting an education, but the planning made it easy on me.  Point is, it's o.k. to take a break from school and save some money.  But, always keep in your mind education is the over all goal.  This worked for me.  you may figure out a better way.  good luck

  5. Get a sugar mama--LOL.  No, really, stay in school.  Does your school have a payment plan?  Check into that to help pay for your courses throughout the semester.

Do you already have a car?  If not, consider a cheaper one.

What skill/talents do you have?  You can cruise Craigs List for jobs.  Maybe making party mix CDs, proofreading papers, tutoring a HS kid in math, etc.  coaching a team...

Sorry, i need to know more of your situation.

Maybe you could go to school part time.  DON'T QUIT.  You'll never go back.
