I am a plus sized bride. My denomination is Pentecostal, and I need a dress with a high neckline/backline, and at least 3/4 length sleeves. Can anyone help??? I have checked many "modest" styles, but they are not very modest for me. Also, The I can't have the sleeves be too sheer. Thanks!!!

There's alot more on this website. Just browse through the designers. At most you can take the gown to a tailor and add sleeves in the same fabric.

    All the best!!

  2. Have you tried Bonny Bridal, beautifullymodest.com , totallymodest.com , http://www.latterdaybride.com/ ? , eternitygowns.com (theyre under construction but they have modest gowns) You could also opt for getting a long sleeved, non sheer bolero to wear over your dress

  4. I picked out my wedding dress and then the seamstress at the bridal shop alter it and added on for me. Another suggestion is go to your local fabric store sometimes there are women who will be willing to make what you want. I also seen catalog's with plus size dresses not two expensive; or to fancy. Try Davids bridal web site they give you options to add selves

  5. I would try Jasmine Bridal. They have designs called "Temple Ready"

You can select the neckline, sleeve length, etc.

These are the only two dresses I know of or can think of.... hope they are suitable... but please have your wedding during a cold month or you will die of heat exhaustion!  Good luck and congrats.

  7. I looked at a few websites and I only found one dress that I think fits what's your looking for (www.discountbridal.org).  However, is it an option to get a less conservative gown and a matching jacket to cover you up?  Many bridal stores sell jackets and wraps to cover up a bride.  It may be an option for you.  You can choose a dress and simply get a jacket to cover up the non-conservative nature of it...

Lastly, do you know anyone who can sew?  There is a myriad of ways to make a wedding dress and you may be able to find a pattern for one you'd like or a jacket to cover up something you found in a store...  My mother took parts of several patterns and put them together to make her wedding dress.  She took sleeves from one dress and the skirt from another, etc and made her perfect dress.  I included a links to Butterick and Vogue patterns, you may like.

a fuller coverage dress will be easier to find in the fall and winter moths.  Go to local dress shops and see what they may be able to order

  11. I was looking for something like that in Brides.com, and all I found was this:

Now, this dress gave me an idea:

Just look for a dress, whichever you like, and then have a seamstress make you a jacket (in a solid material) to wear over it with the sleeve length you need...

That gives you a LOT more options.

    Good Luck!
