Full lotus (Pasmasena) hurts. Should I keep doing it?

I've been trying full lotus, and it hurts. I've held it for about two minutes. Keep doing it? Like, the more I do it, the less it hurts? Also, what are some other simple positions?

  1. Stop. Those positions are not meant to hurt you. If you continue doing it you may really hurt yourself. Stop doing full lotus. Later on, maybe you can work up to it and you become more flexible and stronger. But as long as something hurts, don't do it.
