Question

Has anybody had any problems withdrawing winnings this way? I don't want to use one of the providers, I would prefer using checks.

I haven't gotten a check from Full Tilt in particular, but generally gambling sites take 1-3 weeks from the request date to get a check to your house.  Epassporte is pretty much instantaneous, and has a minimum withdrawal of $50, whereas a check's minimum is $100.

Full Tilt is the absolute worst about getting checks.  I first had to "verify" my identity through several means including scanning my license along with a piece of mail addressed to the same address I provided them.  I did this a few times, each time being told I was all set and the check would be sent.  Then no check.  Repeat process.

I finally got my check about 2 months later, and even now they take a long time to be recieved even though I'm all set with verification.

Pokerstars on the other hand is amazing about checks.  There aren't any minimum check sizes, and they come in quick.  Just a little extra for you there, you may wish to check that out.
