Fully-fit Jaclyn Sweeney is ready to start playing after kidney infection
Jaclyn Sweeney is ready to resume full-time golf, as she has recovered from a food poisoning scare that kept her off the course for over a month.
Now fully fit, Sweeney has said that she will resume her career once again, with a more solid strategy and will try to atone for the loss she suffered due to fitness issues.
During her tour to China, Sweeney had been playing well and looked in a good form until she was hit with food poisoning.
According to sources close to the rookie sensation, Sweeney found herself in bigger trouble after the food poisoning worsened and she was thought to have suffered a bacterial infection.
Sources said that during her treatment for the bacterial infection, doctors revealed another bad news to her that her bacterial infection had led to a kidney infection.
Sweeney spent days at the hospital, getting treatment. Observers said that being laid up for days took a serious toll on her performance.
Sharing her thought about the infection and bad health, Sweeney said that she never thought that she would be able to recover from the debilitating disease. She said that she thankful to everyone who supported her in her times of trouble.
Experts said that if the American rookie had not been hit with the infection, she would have made major breakthroughs on the Ladies European Tour.
She admitted that she lost her form after getting severely hit by the disease, but was keen to point out that she would regain her momentum once she is back on the course.
"Everyone says 'I felt like I was going to die,' but I really felt like I was going to die," Sweeney said. "The hot and then the cold rush, and just everything. Food poisoning to anyone who had it is the worst experience that you could ever have".
Speaking of her future plans, Sweeney said that she is seeking to get full card for the upcoming year. "I really want to gain my full status card for next year and be able to have a solid plan," she commented.
The 2011 season had been quite hectic, as Sweeney participated in 16 tournaments. She could not win any event. However, finishing tied for the 14th in the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open added shine to her Ladies European Tour profile.
