Mumbai fans have been booing other ipl teams. How disgraceful is this act?

Do you consider it cool or disgraceful to boo the players of opposition team for no reason.I am not always against it.When you have tension with a particular player or a team then it's not always wrong to do it.I thought it was cool when they did it against Aussies last time.

It's cool booing Aussie cricketers because they usually deserve it but why boo a team like say Sri Lanka?

Similarly in ipl,if you boo a team with which you had some problems and the players of that team said anything against you to tease you then it's fine to me.

But in this case(Punjab-Mumbai) there was no tension between teams.Punjab fans were very nice to mumbai team when they played their first match in Mohali.

So why were the Mumbai fans booing Punjab team?

  1. this was a very bad behaviour by the crowd.they should try to make themselves presentable in behaviour

  2. i dont support him

  3. this very bad

  4. NO I DON'T

  5. its really bad.. we must take sports sportingly..

  6. I missed it. But if Yuvi did that, he gets my approval. Rahul Dravid commented that too in his earlier match. That he did not get crowd support.

    Public is funny.

  7. Mumbai fans have this habit of booing opposition players, and I don't think that it's a good attitude at all. Yes, if any cricketer was found indulging in any sort of unfair activities, then the crowd could have booed to condemn such an act, but in IPL, there was no such incident. Everyone played a fair game, and it's not right to ridicule opposition players just because Mumbai lost. In the match against KKR, I've heard that the Mumbai spectators booed our skipper Sourav Ganguly, just because his team failed to put up a good performance.

I consider all such acts as very disgraceful. Not only are these people showing bad sportsmanship, they are not realizing that they are mocking Indians (like Yuvi & Dada), who play for the same Indian team, and are citizens of the same country. I feel that every sportsman should be shown due respect. Victories and defeats are just 2 integral parts of the game, and as the host side, Mumbai fans should have been courteous to their opponents. They are just making a bad impression about themselves. Yuvraj is absolutely right in condeming such a foul act, and I support him fully in this issue.

  8. it is just the attitude of the people....!! More decent people treat their enemies well too..!! haha

  9. i agree with yuvi...

  10. this is really awful  way of treating ppl

whatever they might b v all r indians thats just punjab and mumbai - 2 places from INDIA

if all r goin to do like this thats really bad

v have gotta cheer both the teams only then can v b united

    :-)

  11. Yuvraj did the right thing. If nobody had told the crowd that they had to behave, they would have been even worse. At least after this timely remark from Yuvi, let us see if there is any improvement in the Mumbai crowd behaviour. Other city crowds must learn from Chennai: the crowd at Chepauk cheers even when the oppostion hits a 4 or 6 or takes a wicket.....the atmosphere is just great. "Rude" crowds like Mumbai should learn from Chennai.

  12. That's very rude

Indians compliment other country's  good players The crowd should remember that some players of Mohali play for India also. Yuvi was right

But I guess IPL is dividing the Indian public and uniting the Indian players with foreign players

  13. What a win for Mohali. Was there any problem with Yuvi and Mumbai Indians Fans. I had gone out and so, my friends were telling me that Yuvi was telling to the M.I. fans that KXP, did their best and you can't say that KXP won by 1 run and all that!!!!!!!! But I really loved KXP. I knew that only they would win this. But I'm a great CSK supporter, as I'm from Chennai only.

  14. both are wrong. its very bad

  15. It is absolutely fine..come on! This is a sport,a very passionate sport,Mumbai people are not rude people, they just are the 12th Man for their home team and that is by supporting their home team whole heartedly and booing the opposition to core and also Mumbai crowd is the most liveliest of all,not like other city crowds, who have NO PASSION AT ALL(apart from Kolkata, even they are greatly passionate). We all should stop behaving like sissies, such things are very common in Soccer and rugby,as a sportsman, you should learn to take it and this is such a shameful statement made by Yuvraj, kinda like a CHEAP SHOT on Mumbai crowd. When he plays for India and Mumbai crowd boos and abuses the foreign players, its cool with him and it is even cool with him if foriegn players of his team get hurled at but not Indian players,THAT IS SO GOD d**n HYPOCRITE man,I just hope Mohali is in the final against Mumbai and we choke them to death.

  16. IPL is a dog eat dog world but behaving like lager louts then India is heading for the 60 and 70's British football hooliganism. An excellent few words from Yuvraj at the ceremony and shame on the Bombay crowd. They gave the world Sachin and again thought nothing of booing him off the field too! So lets not take any of this too personally!

  17. This is a habit of all Mumbaikars, not only in cricekt grounds, but everywhere.  They think that only they knows it all and others nothing.  Their cricket god (?!) Sachin should look into the matter.  This is not cricket.
