Question:

Fun Place for for Dinner in San Francisco?

My partner and I are getting married in San Francisco next month and we're looking for a fun place to take our families out to dinner the night before. It's not technically a rehearsal dinner and we only need to be able to accommodate 13 people. We want something fun that's not too casual, but not too expensive.

We're staying near Union Square so if it were within walking distance that'd be great!

Any recommendations?

  1. Honestly, the restaurants in union square suck...thats just my opinion.  Do you like cuban food?  Cha cha cha's in the mission takes reservations and they have amazing tapas and sangria!  It's a super fun, tasty, and inexpensive place to go!

  2. call mr ranjan dey at the new delhi on ellis  and have him make you a special meal  he is reasonable and its a great place to eat

  3. Fifth Floor, (very nice and close to your area)

I listed the website link below, check it out!

  4. If you go to the fifth floor for 13 people, you'll be broke.  And stay away from Ellis St if it's a wedding thing.  Baaaad neighborhood if you're not used to it.  Not a "family" place.  North Beach would be a great place to go - it's the italian neighborhood.  Rose Pistola is on the fancier side and Sodini's is like a little neighborhood place and much cheaper.  Bocce is a good place too.

Try looking up some of these places on www.yelp.com and you may find your perfect place or get some more ideas.
