Fun activity for local 10 yr old niece - Los Angeles?

My 10 yr old niece is graduating from elementary school (yeah, it's a big deal to them these days!) and I am trying to think of a fun activity that her aunt (me!) can take her to. We're both local to Los Angeles so we don't need to do the usual touristy things as she's done many of them already.

Any ideas?

Reward her with a 'spa' day. Where you both get massages and face masks. Maybe spend some time shopping, jus have a girly day in general.

What part of LA? You can go to Universal Studios or Six Flags. If she is more into girly things you can go get mani/pedicures together. You can take her to Color Me Mine or to see a musical or some other kind of show. It all depends on what she likes. LA has just about everything.

take her to the mall all girls love the mall don't they. Give her a shopping spree!

let her have a slumber party with some of her friends at your place.  do the mani/pedi thing and of course facials (if anyone has an allergy to a produce u can put whole milk on it to clear it up easily) order pizza, chips, Veggies with dip, and fruit they will snack all night and giggle to no end but they will have fun. have half bring a game the other half a move.
