Fun car to drive for around 15k?

Question

What is a fun car to drive that has a nice interior and looks good. Gas mileage isnt to much of a concern just want at least over 18mpg. I'm currently looking at RX-8s and GTi 20th anniversary. I want the car to have a kick to it but i dont need the fastest thing out there. Not going to mod it just gonna keep it bone stock and maybe possibly mod the GTi but thats not til later. any suggestions on any other cars? oh ya needs to be manual and no american cars.

Subaru Impreza WRX.  Best bang for the buck with huge potential for more power with easy mods.

Mazda RX-7 or a Turbo MK3 Toyota Supra.  Both are relatively inexpensive and easy to upgrade for major power and handling.

Honda civic, prelude or accord. Fun to drive and if you ever do mod it aftermarket pieces are usually cheaper than OEM. Although I think they are all built in the USA
