Fun games for a 5 year old to play at at birthday party?

My daughter will be five soon and I am planning a birtday party and was wondering what are some fun games for her to play

you can have a kids pool party pin the tail on the donkey tag ring around the rosey

I have a 6 year old. What we did was we have dress up stuff like makeup, nail polish bought feather boas from the $1 store, rings, necklaces and hair accesoryies. After they were all dressed up we would take thier pictures and have them design thier own picture frame. (also got at the $1 store) or can find in the craft section.

Pin the tail on the donkey

Musical chairs with prizes

Make your own cookie. ( get icing, sprinkles, rieces pieces, m&m's, etc. ) let children decorate pre-baked sugar cookies.

Bob for apples

Also you can get some paint in the craft section and paint thier faces.

Check out the Family Fun magazines, or their web site: www.familyfun.com. It's put out by Disney, I believe. They have great party ideas, organized by theme, or age, or even by "item", such as cakes, games, favors, crafts, etc.

If your child has a special interest, you may find a whole party's worth of ideas there. A friend found a "Construction Worker" theme for her 5 year old. He loved it!
