  1. ok. well ive been in ballet for about 12 years and we never got to play games and learn at the same time but maybe if you put fun music on and make bar work a little more fun. i hope that gives you some ideas..? good luck.

  2. at hockey training we use things like stuck in the mud as warm-ups they are popular with the kids

  3. Head, shoulders, knees, and toes could be a good warm-up activity.  Or Hokey Pokey or the "My head bone's connected to my neck bone..." song.

Maybe a game like "Red light, green light?"  Have all of the kids line up at one end of the studio.  When you say green light they all start to run (or walk or chasse or whatever) across to the other side.  When you say "red light" they all have to stop in a ballet position.  If they're still moving or are not in position, they're out.

Or a ballet take on "Fruit Basket."  Assign each kid a position, with maybe 2 or 3 kids having the same position.  Everyone stands in the circle in their position, and choose one kid to stand in the middle.  The kid in the middle will say for example "1st position."  Everyone who is "1st position," as well as the kid in the middle, has to run and switch spots with the other "1st position" people.  Last one without a spot stands in the middle and game continues.

Or how about ballet bingo?  Simon says?

    Good luck!!
