I work at a daycare and we are looking for some easy, fun projects to do with the kids. Anyone have any idea? We just did making playdough and colored rice pictures.

  1. Because I don't really know what sort of things your kids are interested in, I would like to recommend a site with some ideas. Hope you can find somethings here:

    Here's another possibility also:

  2. I use to work in a preschool class and these are some of the activities we did & they turned out to be a success!

-- tie die t shirts, its a little messy but the kids loved that they were making their very own shirt. Take them outside put a smock and rubber gloves & let em go to town. (lesson being patterns)

-- Make a squishy ball. Blow up a small ballon and and use a funnel to fill the inside with flower once it gets hard its full, then tie off the end of the balloon and thats it.

-- 2 activities in one - Get small flower pots and let them paint & decorate the outsides ( art project) Then plant lima beans inside the pot, it only takes a few days for them to grow.(science)

-- We did a community activity week where each day we had a member of the community (police, fire man, EMT) bring their vehicle to the school and talk to the children about what they do, they were able to honk the horn, ride in the ambulace and turn on the lights in the cop car. ( this is cost free & very exciting for the kids)

-- We made houses out of icing, marshmellows, and gram crackers & they ate it for snack.

-- A sink or float activity in water, let them make a boat using aluminum foil, then see what objects they can put in the boat without it sinking (pencil, blocks, paper clips, chalk, markers)

    -- Tooth brush painting

-- Tap paper under the table and let them DRAW upside down like Michelangelo.

Well these are just a few, I hope these Ideas are helpful to you..
