Question:

Fun piano pieces?

I've memorized a ton of different pieces for piano. I can play Solfeggietto in one breath, I learned most of Toccata & Fugue before I lost my sheet music in a freak accident. I suppose I do the best with ragtime pieces, Maple Leaf Rag, The Entertainer, and even that one piece from Super Mario World.

For a while I've been teaching myself pop song (Stuff you can sing along with), but that only remains so fun. I'm looking for some piece... pretty much any genre, that's fun to play and impressive to listen to.

  1. Here's a challenge for you.

Victor's Piano Solo, from The Corpse Bride.

    It really is beautiful!!!!

It doesn't have an ending; it just stops, as it did in the movie.

Learn the piece and add your own ending.

Maybe, it will encourage you to compose your own works.

Have you tried Joplin's "Peacherine Rag"?

  2. Right now I'm working on When You Were Young by The Killers. It's pretty fun. I can send you the sheets if you want.
