This thing all things devours:

Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;

Gnaws iron, bites steel;

Grinds hard stones to meal;

Slays king, ruins town

And beats high mountain down.

hello, It is obvious you lost the bet! I asked the same question in books and authors but I mentioned the Hobbit which drew attention. You have to draw attention to the question that many people will answer. I bet if I posted a question that just said "Harry Potter?" I would get a lot of answers.
