Fun stuff to do in California ?

I am trying to book a vacation for next summer in California. I know i want to see Sea-world and see the Hollywood sign, and of course the beaches.... Is there any other nice places that would be fun. there will be a 12 year old and a 17 year old that will be going, If there is anything we want to go to skate parks and universal studios... sorry I kinda jumped around...
