  1. We just got back from Puerto Vallarta 2 weeks ago. We went on the ATV tour that brings you  way up into the mountains and even includes tequila tasting. Great fun.  If you are in the mood for some drinks or food go to Burrows right on the beach.

  2. I was there in October and a really fun thing to do is release baby Gulfino turtles on the beach and help them make their way to the ocean.  They're endangered and the Mexican government protects them.  Most of the hotels and resorts along the Pacific ocean are part of the releasing project.  They release them at about dusk (7:00 p.m. or so) - this makes it harder for the birds to get at them.   We made sure the sand was smooth for ours and then we kind of set up a race between our little babies and everyone else's.  One of my little guys made it to the ocean first........everyone cheered.   It was great fun and it helped an endangered species.

You can also take a tour through the jungle which is also really cool to do.  It's just beautiful.

You can also get a full body massage on the beach in a little cabana and listen to the ocean while your getting your massage.

Have an awesome dinner at Bogarts at the Crystal Hotel.

  3. Hello. I found a few sites. Hope it could help!

  4. Below is a web page that should give you a lot of ideas on what is available around the town in the area of tours.  Make sure your timeline matches up with the times of your tour, as some tours start very early in the morning or stretch almost to midnight.

One thing: don't miss a stroll down the Malecon (the local sea-side boardwalk) in the early evening, after dark.  There, you'll find a mix of local families, tourists, performers and vendors.  And, it's free!

  5. Try the canopy adventure tour!

Great little towns north of airport if you want to rent a cab or car.

Riverwalk in downtown is pretty/nice - good restaurants.

There's a water taxi that runs from downtown to marina to Neuvo Vallarta (Paradise Village).

Surprised when people from a cruise ship were at our resort to golf!  Brought there clubs too.

If you take a "tour" make sure it's not going to stop at a lot of shops - that happen to us.

We ran into people at Walmart that were from a cruise ship and bored. (Walmart and Sam's Club are across the street from the marina.)

Very safe to take bus into town  - cabs are pretty cheap though.

  6. Snorkeling at Los Arcos is great. It's a natural reserve so there are lots of tropical fish to see. A day trip to Yelapa is nice, you can only get there by water taxi. Women sell freshly baked pie on the beach. You can hike or horseback ride up to the waterfall.
