My kids like things like play-doh, going to the park, playing in water (I give them plastic dishes/bowls with toys), riding bikes outside, watching a movie, crafts from Walmart - they have ready made kits there, baking (decorating cake or cupcakes with sprinkles, candies and such)...

I think you should get board games, science kits or read to them before they go to sleep. I will place a link with some game that you and your kids can do and also have fun and learn at the same time.

depends on the age group.  All young children love dramatic play.  Dress up in silly clothes and pretend to be something.  Make masks, and crawl around being animals.  Kids have the most fun when you are having fun and interacting with them.
