  1. The drug dealers.

  2. I live in St Leonards - one town down the coast, but to be honest am a little old for that type of thing.

Cosmo apparently is a good Chinese buffet type restaurant, but there are plenty of good seafood ones around too - together with the usual variety.

Clubs - all I know of is a place called "The Crypt" - I went there once but was too drunk to remember much apart from feeling like an old wrinkley.

Plenty of good pubs (The Bo Peep - closer to my neck of the woods) is quite good, but there are quite a few that have live music.

The shopping is good, with the normal chains, and a large bargain basement shop called EKS.

There are also arcades, a wonderful walk up East Cliff, a Sealife Centre that's just been refurbished, a museum, and lots of other things.

The pier is unfortunately closed, though you can go on the first bit, and The White Rock Theatre is opposite, which has some good shows.

Bexhill is a few miles down the road, and is a jewel, but completely quieter than Hastings.... It is fondly referred to as The Graveyard With Lights due to it's generally old population, and again is great for shopping in little shops.

Enjoy your trip, and email me if I can help more.

  3. visit the grounds where the battleof hastings took place. There is a nice family resteraunt on the site and a cute gift shop too. Have Fun.xx

  4. ,

  5. as in 1066? iv been there...what did i do....isnt there like a wall n a castle or summat? I remember watching this battle in the middle of this circle like stone stage with seats around.....I was at high school so i cant remember - had the joy of watching my history teacher prancing around with a wooden sword :D

nice place though - just cant remember....wasnt old enough 4 pubs

  6. There are lots of good fish&chip shops in the old town. Also quite a few nice little shops and art galleries there. There is a pub in the high street in the old town where people just gather to play the guitar on a tuesday night. It's quite pleasent to listen to. There are also quite a few pubs with life music.

In the middle of the town is Alexandra Park, which is rather nice, and just up the hill from the Old Town are the Firehills. You can go on beautiful walks up there and decend to a lovely beach. But on a sunny day it's a bit too much of a paradise.

There is a little fishermen's museum at the seafront in the Old Town, quite a nice museum in Bohemia Road, and a statue of Queen Victoria at the sea front.
