  1. Well...

Canada's Wonderland is great.  The Behemoth (new rollercoaster) and funnel cakes are very much recommended.  However, it's definitely not walking distance, but SO worth the trip.

Within walking distance, I would recommend doing some shopping along Yonge Street (the longest street in the world).  Check out Eaton Centre and Yonge-Dundas Square, as there are free performances held there on a regular basis.

There are THOUSANDS of restaurants of all kinds, especially downtown.  Toronto is famous for both great food and multiculturalism, and you can get everything from perogies to Korean barbeque to jerk chicken just by walking a few blocks.

You can also check out the CNE..an annual fair that takes place at Exhibition Place.

You can catch a ferry and go to the Toronto Islands...always perfect for a picnic, biking, rollerblading, or going on a few rides.

At that time, we'll be gearing up for back-to-school and Labour Day...if you're not old enough to drink, there may be a few all-ages parties at clubs around town.  Google has tons of club and party listings for Toronto.  We take partying pretty seriously here. FYI: the legal drinking age here is 19.

Have a safe trip to and from our great city, and have an amazing time!

  2. ... You know I've never actually met anyone who's been interested enough in baseball to watch a game on TV, nevermind actually go SEE one, like, live.  In a stadium or arena or whatever.

I think it's just because baseball is the most utterly boring sport imaginable.  Honestly.  I just don't know how people do it.  I can't even watch the sports-news clips without getting restless.

I'd go see the Hockey Hall of Fame.  Really, what's a trip to Canada without paying homage to the best (and likely only) Canadian-dominated sport of all time?  Or, if you're insane and aren't that into hockey, you could see the Royal Ontario Museum.

Other than that I think there are some nice markets - Kensington and Lawrence markets are supposed to be cool.

    Yonge Street?

    Black Creek Village?

    The Casa Loma?

It's been a while since I was in the t-dot.

  3. You might want to reconsider going to the Jays game, unless of course you like watching "your" Pink Sox get OWNED. ;)

Um yeah, you could check out the South Asian Festival at Gerrard and Coxwell kinda area... India Bazaar on Gerrard St. That's time-specific for when you say you're visiting.

You could also visit the Eaton Centre if you're in to shopping, or the Ontario Science Centre, or the Royal Ontario Museum, Kensington Market, St. Lawrence Market, The Distillery, Centre Island, Harbourfront Centre, Honest Ed's for discount shopping, even Casa Loma. And there's TONS of other stuff...
