I suggest hitting the Ximending district, and go on a shopping spree. Also, at 10:00 p.m., the club scene gets really rowdy. Oh, and you'll be sure to meet great people, especially since ur Black, I'm saying this out of experience (I'm black Myself). Or if u want that authentic Taiwanese experience, I suggest you going to a night market. Though you must be aware of counterfeiters, they have a field trip with foreigners. Try the Shilin Market, its the most famous, affordable, and more trust worthy night markets. Or you can visit the Lin Guang Night Market, it's not as crowded, but its a great place to find some really good food!! Overall, it'll be less touristy, which counts as a plus!!

One thing you gotta do is go to the malls ahaha. Another great tourist place is the Taipei 101. It is the worlds tallest skyscraper. You can take a tour up to the top, which is really exciting because the elevator takes barely ten minutes to get all the way up to the top. There are also a lot of museums about the history, which are very interesting to go to. Sun Moon Lake has really beautiful scenery that you can visit. There are lots more that you can visit, a day isn't even enough. =]
