  1. Invites......   Make them formal lookinf with lots of ribbon and stuff. Say on the invites to where a formal dress of tux!!

When peolple come have them walk on a cat walk into ur backyard. Have a parent take pix!

Have a table of food out like a buffet and have a bar. A parent of sibling can be the bartender.

Have up a tent and have music and dancing.

Later anonce awards like the oscars.

    Awards like....

    Coolest dress

    Best Dancer

    Hottest Guy

    Best shoes

    Worst Dancer

    and fun stuff like that!

Hand out a cool neclase of bling at the end

HAVE FUN!!!! and you can do this inside if you want to......

  2. Decorations:

Tiffany blue Chinese lanterns and parasols (hung from bushes/trees if outside)

    Feathered boas around chairs/table

    Table cloths:

Gold and Tiffany blue fabric-- a toile might be pretty or some type of French-y print

Could have a beret hat placed at each person's spot at table with a little placecard on each

Serve the beverages in plastic champagne glasses

    Also serve Perrier water

Make cupcakes with Tiffany blue icing piped around tops and serve next to petit fors (sp?) that have mini Eiffel Towers on them

have French music playing in background-- "Le Festin" from Ratatouille is a really pretty song

Oh and could give a Ratatouille dvd as favors to guests as something unexpected and fun.

    Sounds fun-- Happy Birthday!

  3. Not sure if you still need ideas but one more would be to decorate with pretty tea cups and teapots.  Since you are not serving tea, you could use the teapot as a vase for fresh flowers and the tea cups as candle holders (put a votive candle in each one or fill with sand or small gravel, like from a fish aquarium store, to hold a tapered candle).  Thus, tying in the tea party theme with the French theme.

  4. Hey Birthday Girl,

you are definitely on the right track with hosting a classy party. I found two different party deco ideas to share with you.

    or

You can make your own invites by downloading a template of a party dress. Cut it out and paste on blank party invites. You might want to say something like...

Wear your best summer dress and flip flops and join us pool side in celebration of  "_____" Birthday! Give date, time etc.

It might be cool to serve cupcakes instead of birthday cake. Best wishes for an awesome birthday celebration with friends.

  5. Happy Birthday!

How about a pool party?  Even if you have to rent a park pool for a night time party.  Call your city's Parks and Recreation department.

Classy parties are for the winter time when the weather is much cooler.

  6. first off, HAPPY B-DAY!

i am part french, so i remember a little bit of party planning for that. i would suggest, depending on where you live, to have the party outside. for the main dish, have melon balls, potatoe crisps, and grilled cheese sandwiches shaped like stars. for a table scape, have a place card for each guest, and have a white or cream colored table cloth with a vase of real flowers in the middle. hope i helped, oh and thanks for all those shoe pics in my question.

  7. Invitation

    Miss (your name)

    request the pleasure

    of the company of

    Miss/Mr(your guest name)

to A lazy hazy days of Summer Party

on Saturday July () to celebrate

    her birthday.

    R.S.V.P.

    Pass the Parcel

    Treasure Hunt

Pin a name on the guests back and they have to find their partner

you could use a french theme

    crepe    Suzette

    french    toast

    Eiffel      Tower

For your table scape incorporate love hearts and French Kisses Sweets.

BTW if you can find a willing adult to make little Pancakes/gallettes

to order that could be very classy.

Sparkling Apple juice comes in champagne bottles and pops when opened.

Cloudy Lemonade for Summer days (Nigella Lawson)

    I litre of Fizzy Water

2 whole unwaxed lemons cut into quarters

4x15ml caster sugar or to taste

    ice cubes

Put the water lemon and sugar into a blender in 2 batches and blitz until the lemon is pureed.

Strain the lemonade into a jug.
