Find f(g(x)) if f(x)= 4x^2 + 2 and g(x)= 3x - 1

My answer is 36x^2 -24x + 6.

Thanks again!

  1. I'm sorry Forrest is wrong, the first person is right.

    (3x)^2 is not 3x^2 it is 9x^2

  2. I remember these! Alright, so plug in 3x-1 for 4x^2: Your answer is :

    4(3x-1)^2 +2

  3. your answer is wrong sorry

the answer is with the work

    4(3x-1)^2+2

    4(3x^2-6x+1)+2

    12x^2-6x+6

    3(4x^2-2x+3)

  4. 4(3x-1)^2 + 2

    4(9x^2 - 6x + 1) + 2

    36x^2 - 24x + 6
