  1. first off you need to have XP Pro on your target computer to remote desktop into. Second if you don't have something like a super fast internet connection, remote desktop will be very laggy with gaming so that is not a good option. then you would have to port forward your router (port 3389) to point to the computer you want to remote into. sound complicated. It can be. You also need to add your username as a remote desktop user through the system properties REMOTE tab. If you are trying to access your computer over the internet, and you have a dynamic IP address (as most regular home users do) you need to set up a dynamic address coordinator such as DYNDNS.org (free account) so each time your internet connection's  IP changes you will always be able to find your computer. Otherwise you may want to install HAMACHI which is a VPN service on both computers to obtain a connection. Hope your brain isn't smoking by now.
