Funding For My College?

Question

Basicly at the college i attend there is little money left for improvements such as decorating the very run-down common room and attempting to improve the college as a whole. And what i was unaware of is weather there was any grants/competitions the college could enter or anything we could do to get money to do these small projects as there is no money in the budget for such things!
