  1. Some direct sells will offer fund raisers if asked.  I know I've seen bingos with Longaberger baskets.  And I've seen catalog fundraisers with Home Interiors, Pampered Chef, and Avon.

  2. Have a bake sale

Have a garage sale from things parents can donate

Have kids sell candy bars for $1 a bar.

  3. what you can do is go door to door and ask for just one dollar. get many people to do this. we live in a town of 11,000 people and well if you can get most in your town, that can add up. and one dollar is not much. or you can have a bake sale. or get a lot of people together and have a yard sale.

  4. hmmm. what about a silent auction. each parent could put together a small theme basket and a peice of paper next to it for bids. set a time 2-3 hours. if everyone makes a basket your school will make lots of money. have a bake sale too. you could even have a school carnival

  5. Each year our church uses their fellowship hall and hosts a mother/daughter tea for a minimum cost per person.  They serve fancy finger sandwiches and small snacks, all made by volunteers.  They receive donations from members for raffle prizes.  We buy raffle tickets and try to win a prize.  This year me and my daughter won 4 things.  This is all done by volunteers and they do a great job.  The cost of setting it up is minimal to nothing since everyone donates their time or expertise.

Also, our school did a fundraising event, where you go to a certain restaurant on a certain day (in this case it was CiCi's pizza place) and part of the proceeds go to the school.  I don't know how that is set up though.

  6. Get the kids to make something with all of their names, hand prints, or pictures on it (think quilts, chairs, kids signed & framed class picture, ect.) and auction them off. A fun run is also easy to do ($10 to run +t-shirt) and have kids submit t-shirt drawings, bake sales are good but don't always bring in much money, you can start a locks for love team and have people pledge $ per inch of hair, a raffle is always a good idea and many local places will donate things (a high school student willing to drive a younger child home for a week, principal for the day, free dress/funny hat/sock day;this can be done in conjunction with a auction), box tops for education, recycling can drive, I'll think of more!

  7. My basket ball team went around and collected cans door to door asking people if they would donate their cans to a good cause. We turned them all in and got over 3,000 dollars over a couple of weeks. Maybe you could try that?
